First Line:
The rear passenger door slammed, and she was alone in the back seat of the car.
Summary:
Devlin and Falco are back on another case.
The new deputy district attorney has turned up dead. A double homicide.
Former Birmingham Police Department detective Sadie Cross is an important link to the case. Her memory, however, is fractured. She can only recall small portions of her time undercover, a past holding violent origins.
More secrets to reveal. More danger to discover.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
Enjoyable!
Compared to the first book, I think this one had lost some of its steam with there being 2 cases. I was more interested in Sadie's story than Devlin's because I wanted to know more about her character, so I was happy about that.
On the other hand, I was surprised at how everything still fit together in the end. A great story!
