The Last Voyage of Captain Redfearn (Book 4 of 4) by D.V. Sullivan

Writer's picture: Kayjah TaylorKayjah Taylor

First Line:

Back in the day, those old sea tars always had a patron saint.

Summary:

Captain Redfearn has not been the best father, but when his daughter goes missing, he is willing to do anything to get her back. Even if it means risking his life.

Mrs. Colding doesn't know who she is without a yacht under her feet, and something to clean. She demands to accompany Redfearn on his quest to find his daughter in the hopes of escaping her past and present.

Redfearn quickly realizes rescuing his daughter isn't as easy as it seems, especially when Mrs. Colding becomes something more than his former chief stewardess.

My Review: NO SPOILERS

I have been a fan of the Lair series since book 1, but this has been my absolute favorite Lair book so far. Move aside, Adrian! Captain Redfearn is taking the wheel!

I was so angry I had to put this book down and cut my reading into two sessions because I was hooked! Redfearn and Colding are the definition of a power couple. Their relationship was so real and full of heat, I couldn’t have asked for a better story of the two. That last line also left me in complete shock.

I cannot WAIT for the next book in the series ❤️

My Favorite Quote(s):

Because there is nothing so beautiful as a woman who has been sculpted by all the joys and trials and heartbreaks of life, and who has been left fierce-boned and glowing, uniquely her.

Without a word, without planning it, we weave in and out of each other's paths, natural as breathing. This is not surfing. This is not even flying. This is a dance. This is courtship.

It is heady, overpowering. I am intoxicated. I am lost. I am home.
