First Line:
Dog fights are barbaric.
Summary:
A princess is captured by an alpha, or is she?
Princess Aurora is trapped by all the men in her life. They see her as an object rather than a person with thoughts and feelings.
The night before her wedding, her prayers are answered when she spares the life of a werewolf pit to kill in a dogfight. She captures the eye of his alpha, in more ways than one.
He gives her a choice. To go with him, or to stay. Either way spells prison for Aurora.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
Hooked from the beginning! I am back in my pining-men-era and have absolutely no regrets!
Aurora wants freedom, and Callum cannot escape her wildness. This is a classic case of “he fell first” and I loved their chemistry! Probably an unpopular opinion but I also love Blake’s character. I really thought I knew whose side he was on, and with how this book ended I wonder how Aurora is going to deal with him going forward.
A great romance and an amazing plot!

My Favorite Quote(s):
A prisoner. Or a prize. That is all I have ever been.
The larger male is the epitome of the wild and rugged mountains where he must have come from.
Sometimes I dream I am a statue in the palace gardens. People wander around me, commenting on my shape, my form. Her eyes look almost alive, they say, when the light hits them.
I focus on the mountains that surround us instead of the crease on the side of Callum’s face where the grass has left a mark, or the soft smile playing on his lips.
