First Line:
Jumping off a cliff is always a good idea.
Summary:
Scotland James never thought she'd end up in her hometown, but she's out of work. The acting gigs dried up, and she needs to recoup, but ends up taking the biggest acting role she's ever had.
Gavin Ledger, a single dad and winemaker, is trying to make a better life for his daughter. With her mom gone and his daughter seeking a connection to her, he is intent on buying the perfect lake house. One that will remind her of her mother. The only person who can help? Scotland.
The longer they are forced to play house, the more real it becomes.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
Super cute and wholesome!
An easy friend-to-lovers read that I ate up. Overall was a great read, I enjoyed all the tropes in this book and how the author highlighted mental/physical health.
Gavin and Scottie are so cute! I loved how Gavin’s personality modified once Lily came into the picture, but he never lost his spark. Scottie was already a ball of fire, and I love that about her. She reminds me of myself honestly in the best way possible, so relating to her was easy
The only thing I wished for with this book was that the conflict resolved itself within a page or two. I would’ve liked to see a little more fallout, but I’m also not complaining about it! I love a wholesome story, so if that’s what you’re looking for, this is it!

My Favorite Quote(s):
If there's one thing society loves more than watching a woman rise to success, it's indulging in the perverse pleasure of watching her fall.
But I need her like I need to breathe.
