First Line:
The library was my favorite place in the entire world.
Summary:
Isabella Salvini knows that Ivan Zotov is a family enemy, but sells it by kidnapping her. He is brutish, six feet of tattoos and muscles and danger, except he's not all that dangerous.
Isabella is hell-bent on escaping the clutches of the Russian mafia, but becomes unsure of is she wants to escape him.
My Review: NO SPOILERS
Kidnappings, rivalries, and skinny dipping, oh my!
This book was pretty enjoyable. I’m always a sucker for romance between rival teams. This plot was fast, full of tension, and honestly had a good backstory. I followed along pretty easily!
Another thing I’m a sucker for is a broody and complicated MMC, and a fiercely quick-witted FMC. Ivan and Isabella were a good match together. They are both smart and strategic without being too impersonal.
Although I enjoyed the plot and characters, I felt like I wanted a bit more from the writing. There were some parts of the book I skimmed over because I lost interest, and sometimes I really wanted to like the characters but couldn't feel the tension or spark between them. Even with that being said, the reading experience was pretty good!
Thank you so much for choosing me as an ARC Reader!
