Happy New Year!
Welcome to year FOUR of this blog insert fireworks here
I am astonished and so proud of myself for keeping this site consistent, and appreciate you all being here to read my rambles and advice! Thank you, and if you're not new here, you already know what's about to happen.
Let's get into it!

2025
I didn't want to put too much pressure on myself for yearly goals for 2025. I always find that, at the end of the year, I feel content with where I'm at, whether or not I completed my list. I think that's better than any goal I can cook up! Nevertheless, here are the goals I set for myself:
1. Read 40 Books
2. Finish a Special Book Project ;)
3. Less Screen Time
4. Get Used to Being Uncomfortable
Let's go down the list in order :)
Did I reach my reading goal? As of December 23rd when I'm writing this blog, that's a big nope, but I was close! Give me some grace! I read 37 books as of now, which I'm not sure will change much by the time january rolls around. Unfortunately I started late, life happened, etc etc. But that's the thing about life! It doesn't care what your goals are.
As for my special book project, it is still in the works! I planned on editing a bit more in these last two months of the year, but that's when life started to happen a little more than usual. My living situation makes it a little harder to sit and write, so I'm hoping that January will offer me some grace and time to finish what I started!
My screen time has likely gone down ONLY because I set time limits on a few apps. Sometimes I need to brainrot a bit at the end of the day to really let myself disassociate. Then, when I feel like I've wasted enough time, I continue on to do whatever I initially planned. I feel like most people can relate to that sentiment.
Getting used to being uncomfortable is better said than done. Like, why would you thrust yourself into a situation you wouldn't normally be in? I'll tell you why, because it's normal to be uncomfortable sometimes, even if it doesn't feel good in the moment. Did I follow that logic? Somewhat. I'm not the type to be in a crowd, but I did go to a couple of events that were really fun, and I also did some impromptu hangouts with friends!

2026
As always, I'm keeping my list short and sweet for myself and you! I'm sure I'll pick up and put down a bunch of other goals along the way, but these will be my top four!
1. Read 40 books
2. Spend more time outdoors
3. Get more organized with posts and scheduling
4. Be more open to experimenting
I feel like the last three are going to be big challenges for me this year. I don't spend enough time outside the house. I usually just go to work and back. Also, at the end of 2025 I slacked off on my posting schedule and essentially screwed myself over, but with that being said I don't want to be too strict with myself. I hope to take more breaks, create different content, and overall not be afraid to experiment when it comes to life!
Wishing you all a happy new year, new goals, and greater accomplishments <3
