“Stay the Course, Be the Light”

What an AMAZING book. I could not get enough of this! It was hard to put down, and I got lost in the story every time I started reading again. This is my first Turner book, and I will definitely check out their other works. The writing was great, just descriptive enough to let your imagination roam but also concrete. I really enjoyed the concept of Lightguards.

Corinne is by far one of my favorite characters. Realistically flawed, and while she eventually started to ‘become the light’ as the story progressed, I felt her character accurately portrayed the healing process after trauma. The characters all felt real and likable, which is why some sections towards the end scared me a bit 😅

I can’t wait for book 2!
