My Review: NO SPOILERS
Such an introspective and entertaining book
Listened to this one on Audible. First off, the narrator's voice was incredibly captivating, and she read at a PERFECT pace. Definitely added an extra depth to this story.
This book's plot and characters were beautiful and daring. It touched on so many hard-hitting topics, while also providing wistful scenery and memories. I had no idea where it was going until the middle, and it only got more interesting from there. The main character, Vida, is the strong FMC I absolutely adore. She's incredibly smart and intuitive. It was hard not to root for her from the start.
Been listening to a lot of Koontz' work lately and will continue!

My Favorite Quote(s):
In her experience, it is civilization, driven by human arrogance and greed and envy, that is, at its worst, a forest of lost souls.
Be not so foolish as to cling to what was, rather than embrace what can be.
